With the support of a European Union grant under the ECOFISH Programme, C3 Madagascar is helping in the effort for conservation of endangered species and habitats with awareness-raising and capacity-building at all levels of the community, from children to fishermen and women, and elders.

With the assistance of NNF under the project Strengthening Community Fisheries in KAZA, several areas have been protected and this has resulted in the setting up of new fishing rules. The new regulations will help to increase the fish stocks.

ECOFISH’s activities provide fishermen with greater flexibility to negotiate the price of their products in Cahora-Bassa and Magoe districts, in Mozambique. Thanks to a grant from the European Union, ADPP Mozambique has helped in the setting up of trade outlets for fishermen.
