In Mombasa, on the east coast of Kenya, where a workshop on the €1 million Ecofish project was held from 13 to 16 June 2023, the floor was given for the first time to artisanal fishermen. They come from the 10 countries covered by the programme, including the Republic of Mauritius. With a year to go before the end of the project, the lessons, observations and challenges were presented so that the community of fishermen and their families can take ownership of what has been achieved and make it sustainable.
