E€OFISH HELD A SEMINAR FOR THE IOC

This meeting clarified how the programme works and explained its activities.

In brief:
- Support for the LTA and the LVFO. The E€OFISH team carried out two parallel missions for LTA and LVFO from 21 to 25 July 2022. These missions aim to improve fisheries monitoring, control and surveillance actions as well as communication in these two sub-regions.

E€OFISH PROMOTES THE EFFECTIVE OPERATION OF THE PRSP

The 52nd meeting of the Regional Coordination Unit of the PRSP was held on 12 & 13 July 2022 in Madagascar.

In brief:
- E€OFISH strives for a better coordination of sustainable fisheries initiatives. The representatives of 7 IGAD Member States met from 16 to 18 August 2022 for the 2nd Meeting of the IGAD Fisheries Coordination Platform. More information.
- The E€OFISH team met with the authorities in charge of fishing in the Comoros and Madagascar to strengthen collaboration. These meetings are part of the support component of the programme at national level.
