E€OFISH CONSOLIDATES THE ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE PRSP

A handover of materials and equipment for fisheries inspectors from the
7 countries of the South West Indian Ocean took place on Monday
12 December 2022.

In brief: 
- The 54th meeting of the Regional Coordination Unit (RCU) of the Regional Fisheries Monitoring Plan (RFMP) was held on 12 and 13 December 2022.
- France/Reunion, Madagascar and Mozambique carried out the 58th regional sea patrol mission with the help of the European Union grants to countries participating in the PRSP. This mission took place from 2 to 13 November; 4 vessels were controlled, and no infringement was found.
- Mauritius and Seychelles conducted the 59th regional sea and air patrol mission with the help of the European Union grants to PRSP countries. The mission took place from 15 to 27 November; 19 vessels were sighted and 3 others controlled, and no infringement was found.
